2006 Council on Foundations Award: Presents Gordon Elwood Foundation 2006 Outstanding Communication Award

Medford, Oregon April 20, 2006 - The Gordon Elwood Foundation has been named a Silver award winner for excellence in communication by the 2006 Wilmer Shields Rich Awards Program. Sponsored by the Council on Foundations, the awards program recognizes effective communications efforts to increase public awareness of foundations and corporate giving programs. The Gordon Elwood Foundation received the award for its “Five Year Report, Creating a Legacy of Service to Southern Oregonians” that was published fall 2005. The award will be presented at the 57th Annual Conference of the Council on Foundations in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Sunday, May 7, 2006.

Entries to the awards program included annual or biennial reports, magazines/periodicals, special reports, public information campaigns and websites. This year 255 entries were submitted to the Council on Foundations awards program.
