Angela Durant was born and raised in Klamath Falls, Oregon where she developed a passion for building community through her upbringing, education, and support for youth programs. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Management with an Associate in Legal Office Systems from Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls and a Master of Business Administration with a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Southern Oregon University in Ashland. Angela began her career in the investment securities industry with a decade of experience as an associate broker and financial advisor. Her passion for serving youth as a volunteer coach navigated her career path to a directorship with Basin United Soccer Club in Klamath Falls where she developed youth programs, mentored coaches and volunteers, and built a funding platform. A move to Medford in 2013 opened a new door in community building as the grant program manager and principal planner for housing and community development with the City of Medford. She quickly developed a passion for nonprofit capacity building through relationships with community partners. Angela brings a strong mindset that things can change and believes that walking alongside nonprofits on their journey is a key to success. In her spare time, Angela enjoys bringing her family together, adventures with her husband, watching her two daughters grow into amazing adults and being a new grandma.

Jennifer Staton

Jennifer Staton joined the Gordon Elwood Foundation in 2018, initially serving first as the Program Associate and now as the foundation’s Senior Program Specialist. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Jennifer has a background in business administration, which included experience in her family’s real estate business. As a child, she developed a love for Southern Oregon, where she spent many summers with her grandparents and extended family. In 1992, after relocating to Oregon, Jennifer discovered her true calling in the nonprofit sector. Since then, she has dedicated over twenty-five years to nonprofit work. Her passion lies in helping children and families, especially those facing challenges. Throughout her career, she has played a pivotal role in assisting nonprofits, aligning perfectly with the Gordon Elwood Foundation’s vision of sustainable community service. Jennifer is an Advanced Certified Nonprofit Professional (ACNP) and holds Certificates in Nonprofit Board Education and Nonprofit Board Consulting from BoardSource. Her expertise includes program development, organizational leadership, quality assurance, volunteer management, and event planning. Her extensive nonprofit experience strengthens the foundation’s mission to provide not only funding but also practical support to local organizations. Outside of her professional life, Jennifer enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest, spending quality time with her three grown children and four grandsons, and appreciating nature through hikes and visits to waterfalls.

Sara LeVasseur

Sara LeVasseur grew up in a small rural town in mid-Missouri. After serving together in the U.S. Navy, she and her husband made their home in Southern Oregon, drawn to its diverse landscape and spirit of adventure. Sara earned a degree in Human Services from Southern Oregon University and has dedicated her career to supporting underserved populations with empathy and practical, solution-focused care. Her work spans community resource navigation, crisis intervention, and public assistance access. She has led outreach efforts, partnered with local nonprofits, and coordinated programs addressing urgent needs such as housing, food, and shelter. In every role, Sara brings a deep belief in the dignity of each person and a passion for helping communities move toward long-term stability and empowerment. Sara enjoys spending time with her family, homeschooling, and exploring the beautiful outdoors of Southern Oregon.
